Meetings had attracted 20,000 people with gross takings over a two-day championship meeting of about $35,000. Mr Leivesley said that speedway racing at Warrnambool was successful. He said Horsham Motor Sports Club had plans for a speedway at Dooen which would attract top drivers from Victoria and interstate. The committee will seek the opinions of Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce, (Horsham) branch members.
